A brand-specific website was created through service design.

The Client

Oomi is one of the largest electricity sales companies in Finland, having more than 400,000 customers. Their offering includes smooth electricity supply, useful services, and humane customer service. The company was founded, when Vantaan Energia Lahti Energia, Pori Energia, Oulun Seudun Sähkö, Oulun Sähkönmyynti Oy, and its shareholders decided to join forces and develop something new that will help facilitate the everyday lives of their customers.

The Challenge

Even before several electricity sales companies moved their business under Oomi, Kaimana had joined in planning Oomi’s next steps in October 2019. On a three-month schedule, we designed Oomi’s information architecture and built a new website through service design. The main goal of the first phase was to create a new, brand-specific website that allows selling electricity.

The Solution

Together with the client, a decision was made to use HubSpot and WordPress-based website for the needs of sales and marketing. Kaimana was also involved in the brand work and the design of Oomi’s business. We implemented the site on a fast schedule, and the oomi.fi website opened as planned on April 1, 2020.

The further development of the website has been continued through agile cooperation. In November 2021, the webshop of oomi.fi was opened.

The Results

Since the beginning, Oomi achieved its goals in sales and in customer service in its digital channels. During our partnership, Oomi has quickly risen among the top 5 Finnish electricity sales companies.
